Mineral makeup is the best for the summer
I love summer, but the heat and humidity are really wrecking havoc on my skin. As a result, I’ve been completely skipping makeup lately ’cause my face’s been breaking out like crazy. I don’t use regular ol’ face powder anymore. But baring my face to the world all the time is just no fun, sometimes a girl needs some camouflage and color when going out at night. I’ve found mineral-based makeup powder is the best for oily blemish-prone skin. Because mineral-based formulas are fragrance-, preservative-, dye- and talc-free, they are much less likely to irritate the skin. It’s formulated especially for sensitive skin that’s prone to breakouts. The texture is literally like silk. 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation With SPF 15 from Pur Minerals, $24.50. I also plan on getting this one. It’s a natural mineral makeup concealer, powder and SPF 15 protection all in one. The cornerstone of the Pür Minerals line, this mineral makeup foundation is pure mineral pigment ground to the smoothest texture and bound with soothing Shea Butter and Vitamin E. It’s applied with a brush. Pur Minerals has its own special brush, but I think you can also use your favorite soft brush. This is one of those older mineral makeup brands, I first saw it on TheShoppingChannel.com years ago before the whole mineral makeup craze started. We all love Bare Escentuals bareMinerals right? But they don’t have it in a pressed powder form. If you want a compact to go with you anywhere, Pur Minerals is a great option.
