NY Fashion Week – BCBG Max Azria, Abaete, DKNY, Michael Angel, and Alexander Wang,

So NY Fashion Week Spring 2009 has started and I’m catching up on the shows this weekend. Here are some of my favorite looks. Makes me long for warmer weather already now that summer is officially ending.

As always BCBG Max Azria is the first favorite show I see every year. Love the rich colors and the sexy close-to-the-body-but-not-tight drapiness of the dresses. So flattering and completely wearable.

These girlie kittenish sexy pieces from Abaete look like so much fun. The nautical patterns and colors are so pretty, the perfect vacation wear for next summer!

Love the funky color blocks from DKNY. I kinda regret that I didn’t wear enough big colors or combinations of big colors this summer, but next summer I will try to rectify that. Check out the crazy footwear, these high-heel sneaker booties aren’t my style, but they definitely add more drama to the outfits.

Gorgeous GORGEOUS dresses from Michael Angel! I’m a total sucker for floaty silk dresses in water color prints.

Alexander Wang‘s clothes were, to my surprise, a little boring simple, but I really like the biased cut and the sideway gathers of the dress and the light cool color palette.
