Getting into the holiday spirit

November 14th, 2008

A couple of our neighbors already have put up their Christmas lights. I really love them, they make our street look much livelier since we are a new subdivision, there are still houses being built and lawn to be put in and trees to be planted. The lights are definitely helping me get into the holiday spirit. I’ve been looking at a lot of holiday cute stuff. I’m loving Free People’s Holiday Catalog. Everything looks so cute and cozy, especially the accessories and trinkets. I’d probably leave out the fair isle knits, but my goodness the accessories and embellished party apparel are beyond adorable and eye-catching and dramatic.

Emerald City Headband ($138). Green feathers wrapped around a thin elastic band with tie closure.

This Metallic Paisleys Dress ($148) is so sparkly and girly and edgy at the same time.

oh I love this Marley Stripe Cabbie ($48) and Angora Mobius Scarf ($48) set! The colors are amazing and I just love the bundled-up feeling. And I need to do my hair like that. Loose pigtails? Such a happy and upbeat look.

Tumble Studded Bag ($648). Super soft suede bag with studded flap and adjustable shoulder strap. Ya, it’s pricey. But I do love the rugged well-worn feel to it.

Cozy Wrap Headband ($28). A knit headband! It’s THE perfect winter hair accessory. I have a million headbands and I don’t have a knit one. It’s time for me to get one.

Trimmed in Tinsel Ornament ($12). I’d love to receive these darling ornaments as gifts. I’d put them on my bags.

Artisan Yo-Yo ($12). Darn these adorable yo-yo’s are sold out. Now I wanna play yo-yo.
