Looking like a sexy rocker chick with Salvage

March 5th, 2009

Thanks to A. Wang, the hottest look now is the tough glam rocker chick. I just discovered this clothing brand called Salvage. Have you guys heard of it? It’s probably been around for a long time, I just never paid attention to it since that style isn’t really my specialty. But this year, I think every girl can incorporate a little bit of the tough glam into her wardrobe. Salvage’s menswear is your typical graphic tees with skulls and stuff, which made me go meh. But their womenswear is surprisingly sexy and wearable with interesting detailing, and of course graphic inky designs, but not-the-top crazy. Lots of body-conscious tanks and tank dresses with cleverly placed cutouts, studs, sequins, and belts. The color palette is kept very clean and simple, mostly black, grey, white and toned-down metallics, which I think are the best for this style. Girls, if you are dying to let your inner rebel girl out, try a piece from this line. It’s fairly affordable if you can find some stuff on sale.
