Ask Petite Chou - forehead headband, yes or no?

Dear MPC,

I keep seeing those headbands worn on the forehead these days. Went to Urban Outfitters and saw a bunch like this head wrap, even a couple of sales girls there were sporting it. What do you think of this? Do you wear it?

Adorable!  I have been seeing these forehead headbands too. I guess they are in line with that whole hippie chic boho trend. I like them, I saw some looked really cute on quite a few girls. but I can’t do it on myself because of the shape of my head. I don’t have a high forehead and I have a round face, being pinched in the forehead makes my head look disproportionate. I guess you just have to try one on for yourself. And I think if you have those straight doll-like bangs, it’d look extra sweet (although you probably don’t want to mess up your bangs). It’s just a fun way to wear headbands. Go ahead and have fun with it. Honestly I envy girls who can wear them. What does everybody think of this trend?

Has everybody got their tax return monies? I just got mine, a whole $120 of it! Whoo! Lol. Guess I won’t be going on a major shopping spree yet. That’s ok, what I really need is some majorly cute summery accessories that make me go aww.

Pretty feathers for your hair

I just got my annual magic hair straightening. Yay! My hair’s all silky and super straight now. No more poufy hair that looked like it exploded in the morning! Whenever I get hair straightening, I like to buy a bunch of new hair bands, sorta like rewards for my hair. I instantly fell in love with the feather headband exclusively at UO. So pretty and artistic.

Gap Design Editions

Gosh, word sure spread fast about the new CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund designer white shirts and jewelry huh? I went to my local Gap last night to check it out and they were already running low on stock. Well, overall I felt a little underwhelmed about the shirts (priced at $78 - $88) by Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, and Michael Bastian. This Cut-out dress by Three AsFour is cute. The jewlery by Philip Crangi is um…different, but they are not my style. What do you think? Weigh in on them.

My silly eBay purchase of the day

I think I talked about the U Bra before. It is quite a clever invention. One time I almost bought it when I saw it in the store, but I talked myself out of it ’cause a) it was expensive, b) I didn’t need one for any of my tops. I’m not one to don a plunging V neck (yet). Then I saw it on eBay from this seller and being only $10, I thought what the heck. Sometimes I just don’t buy things need them, but in anticipation that I might need them in the future. So here it is! I tried it on. It’s not the most comfortable bra, which isn’t a big surprise since the cup only covers half of the boob. Now we’ll see if I have the nerve to wear it underneath a plunging V neck. This Catherine Malandrino dress looks fabulous, theoretically speaking.
