You know I always gets very excited when I discover a new (to me) online boutique that has awesome fashion that totally appeals to me. Nasty Gal is such a great new find. It specializes in vintage and independently designed clothing. Basically the website has two sections, Vintage and New, where you can find pretty clothes depending on what you are looking for. In the New section, there are some well-known labels as well as lesser known ones. In the Vintage section, the clothes are well-edited and look very cool.

Drawstring bags

I’ve been seeing lots of drawstring bags coming out for this fall. What do you feel about them? I remember way back when they were trendy and I always thought they looked sloppy. But then again that was when those bags were not well-made with leather and it was too boho. I think this time around, the bags still have a nonchalant feel but are much cooler and much more sophisticated at the same time. The details are much defined with nice hardware and textured leather. Just don’t try to stuff it too full or you’ll have trouble finding anything .

It’s safe to say the PROENZA SCHOULER PS1 Medium leather satchel ($1,595) is a classic now. Such a great-looking bag.

A bit of shopping on ideeli today

I wasn’t going to buy anything but when impulse sets in, what can you do? I was always curious about those dresses that you can wear like a hundred ways. When I saw the Ravon convertible dress on ideeli, I thought I had to get it. I was just thinking how easy traveling would be if I could just bring this dress and wear it in a different way for a week, lol (unrealistic, but still fun to think about). I got it in this eggplant color. There are all kinds of colors and prints too. I think for $59 (down from $178) is a total steal.

I also got this London Fog Eliza Crossbody bag. I’m all about crossbody bags lately. They are just so handy for running around.

Cross-body bags great for travel

These days when I fly, I don’t like to lug around a big purse anymore, I use one of my cross-body bags to hold the important things like the passport and blackberry and credit cards.
