Sephora Cuticle Care Pen
Sephora Cuticle Care Pen $12. Has any of you divas tried this? I can’t believe I didn’t discover this sooner! This is such a smart idea! A pen that dispenses just the right amount of moisturizing essential oils to be effortlessly applied to your nails and cuticles, no mess no fuss. And you can put it in your bag and apply whenever you need to, especially after washing your hands in the office (you know how drying the crappy liquid soap is in the washrooms). So convenient!
Avon’s Mascara Guard

I was flipping through my mom’s Avon brochure (I find myself really starting to like Avon’s stuff now), and I saw this, Mascara Guard
. I thought “isn’t this just a clever idea?” It is to keep mascara from getting on your lids and under your eyes during application. Do you have this problem? I do! I can say 9 out of 10 times I always get mascara on my eyelids. For once I just want a super clean application. It includes two combs for grooming lashes and brows and it’s on sale for only $2.29!! Get yours today!
Spray-on makeup
Has anybody heard of spray-on makeup? I’ve seen on TV before. The makeup artist was using this pistol-looking contraption and shooting out liquid foundation onto the model’s face. The result was a perfect evenly covered porcelain-like complexion. I was really amazed, but didn’t think it would be available to the average consumers since it looked pretty complicated to operate. You’d have to be pretty precise. And I don’t know how you can do it yourself since you’d be closing your eyes. But still, it’s a novel idea. I was really excited to to find that TheShoppingChannel.com has something like that!
Serious Skin Air Coverage Makeup System $89.99 on sale for $54.77. It claims that it “is the latest innovation in beauty! This system was originally developed by professional makeup artists, to help create the flawless faces demanded by HDTV and fashion magazine. It dispenses foundation in a micro-fine mist to produce amazing results that help minimize the look of lines, wrinkles, pores and other skin imperfections.” The kit includes – AC/DC adapter, air tube, headband, sponge, instructional DVD and booklet, Air Primer (1.3oz) and Liquid Foundation (1oz) in Light, Medium or Dark.
I think it’s something worth experimenting if you really need good coverage. Maybe you could get your friend or sister to do it for you.

My trusted ol’ Emjoi electrical tweezer’s dying. I bought it from TheShoppingChannel.com many years ago (thanks TSC for introducing me to the wonderful world of online shopping
. It’s been with me ever since, even when I tried other means of hair removal, I always went back to my old faithful. It gets rid of hair by the root, it’s quick and easy. So I was sad to see it wasn’t in the best shape (it’s my own fault for not taking good care of it, I dropped it on the ground one time too many). So I went to the Shopping Channel website to see if they still carry it. And that perked me right up. Yes! They do and they carry a newer better and much cheaper version! My old one cost me $99.99. This new one is only $19.95 and it comes with a hair inhibitor gel, and it’s portable! And apparently with this new version you can use it anywhere on your body, even on lip and chin area. Now I don’t have to worry about getting a replacement. If you’re still looking for a good way to get rid of hair, why not try this?
TWEEZE HAIR REMOVER WITH SMOOTH VANISH GEL BY EMJOI $19.95.
Smashbox’s brilliant blush
Smashbox ‘O-Glow’ Microcirculating Cheek Color $26
My blush has never looked so natural and so pretty, thanks to this brilliant product from Smashbox. It’s the kind of color you get when you’ve played a round of tennis or had a hot makeout session with your beau. The gel is actually colorless, so how can it give you the most natural blush? It’s all in the natural extracts of goji berries, which stilmulate your circulation, so it is your own color glowing from inside out! How cool is that? And the ultra-light gel makes your skin skily smooth.
By the way, goji berry has long been a staple in Chinese medicine and food therapy for its nutrient richness and antioxidant qualities. You can make them into tea, just add hot water and steep. They are sweet and delicious on their own. Or cook them in soups. Or mix them in your cereal. If you have them consistently over a long term, they will give you beautiful skin and beautiful clear eyes and vision (which is a sign of youth). My parents used to force me to drink the tea when I was a kid and didn’t know any better. But I’m glad they did. And now I keep a jar of them in the office. Most Asian supermarkets sell them. Get the ‘O-Glow’ and some goji berries today, you’ll look beautiful inside and out
Perfect brow is that easy?

Anastasia Five Item Brow Kit
$65
Can shaping a perfect brow be made this simple? By plucking to the shape of the stencil? I’ve read some great reviews about this kit. This 5-piece kit includes 4 brow stencils, tweezers, blendable brow powder for the most natural brow color, an angled duo brush for clean application and brow gel to maintain the shape all day. We all know that Anastasia is the brow queen, she can work some kind of marvelous magic. Hollywood A-listers don’t let anybody else touch their eyebrows besides her. Perhaps having this kit is almost like having her do your brows? Somehow I can’t imagine how just 4 stencils can cater to all brow shapes and facial structures of millions of women. I do try to pluck my brows diligently. But I’ve yet to achieve the “beautifully sculpted” look. Could this kit do it? Have any of you used it? What do you think?

Heated eyelash curlers are an ingenious invention. If you have’t got one, you must get one!! I cannot live without mine. My eyelashes stick out straight and are really stubborn to curl. With my heated curler, I can curl my lashes without exerting any force and they stay curled much longer. And it really helps when I apply mascara too. Have you had the experience in where you diligently your curled lashes, the weight of the mascara just made your lashes uncurl themselves? That happened to me all the time! Regular curlers can never get my lashes as curled up as the heated one, not to mention they make my lashes fall out if I squeeze too hard, which makes me really mad ’cause I don’t have that many lashes to begin with. Don’t be afraid if you think the heated curlers are dangerous to use. They are just as safe as other curlers (well, as long as you don’t stick it in your eyes). If you love the big wide-eyed doll look like me, you gotta get a heated lash curler
This is the one I use, it’s fantastic.
