All about flowers at Avon
I went over to Avon’s website for a quick peek, it is positively spring-infused. Flower by Cynthia Rowley Eau de Parfum Spray ($30) just came out. I tried a sample from my mom’s Avon lady friend. Whoo, it smells soooooo pretty! It is so refreshing and totally reminds me that spring-like weather is just around the corner (as soon as all this snow starts melting!). It was as if I had a big bouquet of flowers on my desk the whole day. Love the bottle too. So cute! I’m not a big perfume wearer, but I told my mom I loved it so if she orders it I’ll totally accept it as a gift, lol. They are also giving away this pretty floral patterned Umbrella by Cynthia Rowley for Avon when you get the fragrance. Yippee! I’ll be skipping under the umbrella in the spring rain.

My nice jewelry box is totally disorganized and over-flowing. And I’ve been using those cases that I got from Home Depot, you know those see-through boxes that your guy keeps his nuts and bolts? Yep, I need much better system. Jewelry stands are a great idea. Not only will I be able to keep my jewelry organized and untangled so I can easily see what I have and reach for that pair of perfect earrings for the outfit (with most of them in the boxes, sometimes I forget that I have them), but I’ll be able to keep the jewelry in much better condition. And besides look at these pretty stands, they can totally pretty up your vanity table.

Gifts for Mom and Dad
For those of you to whom I haven’t talked in a while, my guy and I have just moved back home with my parents. We sold our previous house, and our new house is being built right now, so to save us from being homeless, we are staying with my parents for a few months. Being the traditional Chinese parents (and me being their only daughter), they were thrilled to have us. Makes me happy too that we can spend Christmas and Chinese New Year (next Feburary) together. I’d like to get them some nice gifts for Christmas this year. When asked what they want, the answer is always “you don’t need to get me anything. I have everything I need.” Parents are so sensible, aren’t they? They never spend frivilously on themselves. So I’m just going to ignore them and get them things that they would love to have but otherwise feel guilty of buying themselves. What’s everybody getting for their mom and dad?
