As much as I wear my dresses, I love me a fabulous pair of denim. I’m not about to pay $250 for a pair though. Daily Denim is one of the reasons why I’m obsessed with eBay. This awesome eBay store sells brand new denim at really cheap prices. The starting bid is always ultra low, but their buy-it-now prices ain’t shabby either. I’m always watching various items from the store at any given moment. You will want to add it to your favorite sellers list, too.

Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2008 collection is available for pre-order at NORDSTROM. It’s very retro-chic. This coming spring there’s going to be lots of bold colors and prints. Seems like we can go crazy…a little bit.

Superfine Piqué Shirt $168. I just love everything about this shirt, the small-puffed sleeves, the double-lined buttons, and the empire waist all for accentuating feminine curves.

Clover Print Knit Dress $298, the clover print is fresh and colors are still fairly neutral, if you are afraid of overwhelming big prints, then this is perfect, especially you are small-framed.

‘Geo Gems’ Colorblock Dress $338. I’m a little intimated by geometric prints. If you aren’t, all the power fo you, this dress does look awesome.

‘Kitty’ Strapless Dress $448, the tulle accent on the neckline is just the right detail to make this form-fitting dress more playful and kitten-ish sexy.

‘Night Blossom’ Silk Twill Top $248, I love the ribbons tied on the shoulders. So cute.

Old Navy Spring 2008 Trunk Show

I was running some errands after work last night. On the way I stopped by the mall and got drawn in by Old Navy’s new spring stuff. It’s so nice to see some light colors again, even the neutrals look much brighter. I was grabbing stuff to try on like crazy.

My favorite look is this one. I could easily wear it to work since my workplace is uber casual. The jacket looks quite tailored. The way that is only the top button is buttoned up and the red tank peeking through is really cute. And the jeans have that trouser feel so they look more work appropriate.

Also love this look. I like this animal print sweater because it’s not loud. I don’t tend to wear animal print for warmer weather because I feel the print is a bit too heavy (I’m sure that’s just me), but this one is precisely not. And paired with the pleated short shorts, the whole outfit looks so much fun. And the sandals, love the chunky sandals. How I long to wear sandals!

Guy’s Perspective - paint jeans

CoutureCandy offers $25 off any jean for the new year with code NEWJEANS. But look at these ridiculous Justice Flap Pocket Slim Bootcut Jeans in Dark ($211). I wouldn’t take these jeans if they offered me $200 off. My guy has something to say too.

Wow that’s just awesome! This is like the jean equivalent of the mullet. Except somewhat backwards these jeans all party up front and business in the back. If I saw you wearing these jeans I would probably ask you if you were painting your house and forgot to change. Then again I don’t even think you’d actually paint your house silver, so maybe not. I guess the faded worn jeans thing was popular for a while but I don’t think the “paintin’ jeans” is a trend that really needs to catch on. However if you think this look is cool you could always grab your favourite old pair of jeans and lie face down in your preferred shade of Benjamin Moore latex. I recommend the low gloss.

Stay away from these jeans, girls! There are many other fabulous options, such as Charmer Slim Boot in Iodine ($172).

Hey, how’d you fare on Boxing Day shopping? We mostly were interested in furniture for our new house, but disappointingly we didn’t see any great deals. I was browsing Maxstudio.com’s always stylish lookbook and I noticed so many of the outfits are punctuated with a pair of leather gloves. This is such a simple and chic way to make an outfit pop. Now I really really want a pair of leather gloves, preferably long enough to reach half way on my forearm. Strangely, Maxstudio doesn’t offer the gloves they used in the pictures. They will go perfect with any of these casual or dressy outfits.
