Jenny Han Egyptian Collar Dress in Black $242 $61, I always love a pretty simple a-line dress. The neckline is beaded for a touch of sophistication.

Nanette Lepore Sandy Beach Cape in Bone $281 $71, I’ve always adored Nanette Lepore’s gorgeous feminine clothes, but they are usually out of my budget. I’m totally putting this deeply discounted cardigan in the shopping bag. I’ll be wearing it everyday in my overly A/C’ed office and looking pretty :).

Wendy Katlen Jacket in Silver $308 $77, such an adorable jacket! I can see it as the go-to jacket to wear over my party dresses. Love the cropped sleeves, the pleating, and the buttons, so cute!

Fluet Chiff Sleeveless Dress in Red $369 $93, the website says this dress is inspired by the vintage A-Line dresses worn my Mia Farrow and Twiggy. Yep I can really see that and now I want it. It’s the perfect red and it’s 100% silk.

Castle Starr Silk Faille Dress in White $387 $97, ooh a little Park Avenue Princess-ish eh? When we were visiting NYC walking around on Fifth Ave, I think I saw a girl in a similar dress like this one, she looked so stylish and fresh.

Old Navy just had its New American Classics collection in store. I’m quite liking the preppy looks. I’ll be picking up some of these pieces for work today.

My goodness, the weather has taken a 180 turn here. It’s May and we are having a hail storm. That’s not normal! I really didn’t want to drag out winter jackets again, I’m trying to keep warm with cardigans. Makes me really appreciate cardigans as an all-year around essential. Besides the obvious function, there are so many different styles of cardigans coming out this year, cropped, extra long, short-sleeved, long-sleeved, tight, loose, buttoned, wrapped, etc…they can dress up or down an outfit in an instant. I love Free People. Their cool bohemian look is definitely among my favorite. Love the way they style their clothes too. Too bad I don’t get to wear it too often. Mostly just on weekends. Their sales are always great. Stock up for the warm weather that’s bound to come.

I don’t have the propensity to dress overtly sexy. It’s just not me or my inner fashion personality. So when I was browsing this new store, Leisa Marie, where you can find all the sexy tops and dresses for a night of clubbing and partying, I just couldn’t picture me in a lot of the stuff, although my guy would disagree.
