Just discovered a new beauty site called Glow.com (probably not new to you, haha) and I think it’s going to be a nice addition to all the other beauty sites that I frequent because it’s got a TON of popular boutique and department store brands as well as some hard to find ones. The website is pretty user-friendly. You can shop by brand or by catergory which are pretty typical of beauty websites’ layout, but you can also shop by skin concern and skin type. It ships to Canada with very reasonable shipping rates (free shipping within the U.S. you lucky State-siders .

Glytone Fading Lotion (2 fl oz.) $36. I picked up this fading lotion hoping to reduce the freckles that I got on my face and hands during my pregnancy due to hormone fluctuation. It’s said to reduce hyperpigmentation and brighten the face. Hope it works well. I don’t want old woman hands .

Was very tempted to get these makeup but I resisted. I need to clean out my makeup drawer first, it is overflown with stuff. These definitely are on my wishlist though.

A little shopping

Did everybody in the States have an awesome Black Friday? My cousin Lili definitely did. She said it was madness and she had never been so exhausted in her life, lol. She and her family went to an outlet mall and scored herself quite a few excellent deals. She was updating me on it over the BlackBerry. I got a little restless so I went shopping too. Of course it was just a regular Friday here, and also because I still can’t fit into anything in my old size, I couldn’t get too many things. Sorry I don’t have a whole outfit shot for you because what I’m wearing is utterly boring, basically my uniform these days…a t-shirt and some leggings and a hoodie.

Got a cashmere cardigan/vest and a preppy blazer at the Bay (Canadian department store). Both are pretty accommodating right now in terms of fit. Even the blazer has a bit of stretch in it, but I don’t button it up because of my massive chest (compared to what I had before, hehe).

And the white boots that I bought on eBay a while ago finally came in the mail. I don’t like that the flash made them look so shiny. I like the bows on them.

And these awesome vintage leather boots that I got from this vintage store called CovertCandy Vintage. They are wonderfully soft and worn in, make for totally comfortable walking boots. You guys should definitely check out the store. They have a big selection of vintage goodness.

A lot of my friends swear once you go mineral makeup, you can’t go back because pure Minerals are just that much better for your skin. I agree that if you’ve found a mineral makeup brand that totally works for you, you are likely to stick with it. If you like to experiment with more, there’s a new player on the market for you to consider, Mineral Hygienics. Piperlime’s got clothes too

I didn’t know Piperlime started having an apparel section. I went over to check it out and I quite like the selection, especially Rachel Zoe’s picks. These looks are preppy and fun with a touch of artsy flair. The jackets are the highlight of these outfits.  The structured look goes so perfectly with casual pieces like the skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans.  They are getting me excited about the fall fashion now.
