Keds’ shoes are getting cuter and cuter

I wasn’t too into Keds before, but I’m liking Keds’ latest campaign photos quite a bit. Mischa looks very adorable and their spring 2008 collection looks much improved from the previous canvas slip-ons. I noticed that there’s a little bow detail on every one of them, which I love! I’m going to order one of these pairs.

Women’s shoes: Keds Berry Patch - Black cherry $50, love the mini white wedge. It’s a slightly more dressy than their regular flat ones. And besides, I read that a small heel is actually more comfortable and easier on your feet.

Sexy Pleaser sandals

I don’t know why, maybe it’s summer now and I’m enjoying the feeling of bare feet in sandals, all of a sudden I really want to get a pair of all out sexy sandals from Pleaser, the brand synonymous with premium sexy and exotic footwear. I was browsing Madam Shoes, THE place to get stripper heels, heehee. I’m surprised at myself, I can’t imagine wearing these, the heels are all super high, I’d look ridiculous walking in these. But I can’t help wanting a pair. Maybe I’ll wear ‘em to the family reunion this summer. Lol, I’m joking. With a really demure dress, it could work for me. I definitely draw the line at the clear 6 inch heel with 3 inch platform though.

Runway shoes don’t always translate well…

I think Steve Madden took the runway versions of these footwear a little too literally. It’s better to tone it down a bit and make it more everyday-life friendly. These are much easier to wear, but still funky. And people won’t think you are crazy. I was quite envious when I saw my friend wearing these cheery stacked espadrilles.

Second-hand shopping is hard work…

but very enjoyable. I went second-handing on Saturday, I didn’t score big. I know it’s partly my own fault ’cause I don’t have the patience to comb the racks. I did found this oversize John Hort handmade leather clutch with a gold shoulder chain at Goodwill. John Hort was a handmade handbag brand from Vancouver, Canada in the 60s. I wish I knew more about the label. Ya know the metal-chained clutches have come back, I’ve seen lots at the mall, but I wanted to get a second-hand one. This one is still in excellent condition. It’s pretty roomy inside and has two divided compartments that are expandable, much more practical than all my other clutches.

After going to the second-hand stores, I wasn’t ready to go home yet so I hit the mall for a few frivolous buys. I found these peep-toe slingbacks at Costa Blanca. I wasn’t looking for shoes, but they are super comfy so I had to get them.

Yay another great online shoe store for us shoe addicts to visit! PlanetShoes.com is a family owned business dedicated to selling the most comfortable shoes possible at affordable prices. It specializes in active, comfortable, healthy, earth friendly products with a flare of fashion. If you place comfort and environment-friendliness above everything else, you will especially like what this store has to offer. They even have vegan choices. I don’t usually go out of my way to buy “vegan” or “green” when it comes to shoes, and I was a little skeptical at first ’cause I thought it must be full of “sensible” (i.e. ugly) shoes. Not so! Granted, you are not going to find stilettos here, but comfort certainly can be cute too!

I’m not giving in to gladiator sandals

I whined and whined about gladiator shoes last year, and now this spring everywhere I look there’s that gladiator sandal and I still don’t like them. This is one of the trends that I am not giving into. You are probably rolling your eyes at me. Or maybe even wish you could reach into the screen and grab me by the shoulders and give me a good shake. Maybe I do need a good shake to open up my eyes a little. Do I have a distorted vision of them? They make the feet look really long and really wide. The worst one is one that have straps that go up the calf, makes the calf look huge. I suppose it looks good on models that have no calf muscle.

Cute bag and cute shoes put me in a better mood

Wow we are really having some schizophrenic weather. Yesterday it was snow storming and today it’s nice and sunny. It’s still freezing and there’s still some snow on the ground, but the heck with it, I’m wearing my new white mary jane pumps with golden metallic trims. I just love walking around in them, hehe.

And I think I gushed about wanting a pink bag for spring, right? Well, my pink Jvin Buckle Detailed Square Tote (best deal ever!) has finally arrived. It’s super soft and light, and quite roomy.
