NuCelle Mandelic Antioxidant Night Lotion
I’ve been trying to find a good nighttime lotion since I started using Differin (for my acne-prone T-zone) recently and my skin is extra sensitive now. A friend of mine introduced me to NuCelle Mandelic Antioxidant Night Lotion

It’s particularly good for those with mature, sensitive, and hyperpigmented skin (longtime readers must’ve heard me gripe about my “preganency freckles” since I had my baby). It is super-hydrant but not greasy, it’s especially good for blemish-prone skin that still needs moisture and a boatload of antioxidants. The Mandelic Acid is an AHA designed to gently exfoliate and clean the pores of impurities. And it has algae extract which is antibacterial and non-comedogenic. NuCelle is definitely on my radar for more skincare products.

The lotion is very moisturizing. I always find it comforting to know that a sunscreen, just like this one, is loaded with Vitamin A, C, and E. So you can skip a separate moisturizer. The stick is a great option on the go. It looks quite thick in the tube, but it goes on surprisingly non-greasy. However it does cast a slight white tint because it’s a 100% physical block, but that also means it won’t cause any irritation. I’ll probably use the stick more in a physical activity setting since it’s so easy to put it on, just a few swipes on the face and you are ready to go. I even put it on my eyelids and it does not sting my eyes (a huge pet peeve of mine for a lot of sunscreens out there).
There are also wipes and sprays from this collection. It’s really an affordable line. Go ahead and check it out. Never get a sunburn.

It promises to show results in seven days. So I used it for a week and I was pleasantly surprised. First I really like the texture of this serum. It is rich but not sticky or thick, it truly goes on smooth like putting on a veil of silk. In the morning my skin feels very soft and supple and I actually have rosy cheeks! The pores do seem smaller which was unbelievable to me. The discoloration (my pregnancy freckles) is still there (I’m also using my Paula’s Choice skin lightening lotion I talked about in a previous post to remedy this problem), I know it’ll take a long time to see any visible results. And as for any wrinkles, I don’t have any yet (knock on wood) so I can’t say if this is effective against getting rid of wrinkles. All in all, this is a fantastic serum that has improved the texture of my skin and given a nice healthy glow.

This is godsend! Once again I have rely on Paula’s Choice to save my skin. Lately my guy has pointed out that I have a lot more freckles now. I looked in the mirror and suddenly realized holy crap these are pregnancy freckles! There they are along the temples and hair line. Ugh. So I needed a skin lightening product ASAP. I used Paula’s Choice’s original lightening lotion before and it worked great. And she has a new and improved one in her RESIST anti-aging line, Paula’s Choice RESIST Clearly Remarkable Skin Lightening Gel with 2% BHA ($15.16). It contains 2% Hydroquinone plus 2% salicylic acid work to lighten sun- or hormone-induced brown skin discolorations and reduce breakouts, the two ingredients that are proven to work for me time after time. The gel texture is very pleasant on the skin, it’s smooth and light and fast absorbing. It’s gentle enough to use it on the whole face. As Paula’s says in her video (which you can view on her website), the formulation of this gel is regarded by almost every dermatologist in the world as the gold standard for lightening and brightening skin. I can’t wait to get rid of my brown spots. I just have to be patient in the meantime.

($16.50). It’s the best lip balm I’ve ever tried. It is so creamy and smooth and moisturizing, it’s unbelievable! I put it on thick at night and wake up with plump lips. And it wears nicely under other lip glosses and lipsticks. The best is it has SPF 15. I already wear lip glosses with SPF 15. By putting it under it, I get double the assurance of sun protection for my lips, especially now it’s getting sunny and warm everyday.
