The winter months are doing damage to my lips again. Seems that it doesn’t matter how moisturizing my lip gloss or balm is, my lips get dry and chap at the end of day. I wish I could find this Yes to! Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum ($20) here in Canada. When I visited my cousin in Maryland in November, I saw it on her bathroom counter. She says it’s one of the best-valued serums she’s used (she got it from Kmart no less). It is 99% natural, super moisturizing and fast absorbed. We all know how much anti-oxidant rich blueberries are. This serum is loaded with anti-oxidants to fight the signs of aging. NuCelle Mandelic Antioxidant Night Lotion

I’ve been trying to find a good nighttime lotion since I started using Differin (for my acne-prone T-zone) recently and my skin is extra sensitive now. A friend of mine introduced me to NuCelle Mandelic Antioxidant Night Lotion $24 (20% off with coupon code MAKEOVER20 at SkincareRx.com) and I’m hooked. This lotion is ideal for all skin types, without exception. It’s particularly good for those with mature, sensitive, and hyperpigmented skin (longtime readers must’ve heard me gripe about my “preganency freckles” since I had my baby). It is super-hydrant but not greasy, it’s especially good for blemish-prone skin that still needs moisture and a boatload of antioxidants. The Mandelic Acid is an AHA designed to gently exfoliate and clean the pores of impurities. And it has algae extract which is antibacterial and non-comedogenic. NuCelle is definitely on my radar for more skincare products.

The lotion is very moisturizing. I always find it comforting to know that a sunscreen, just like this one, is loaded with Vitamin A, C, and E. So you can skip a separate moisturizer. The stick is a great option on the go. It looks quite thick in the tube, but it goes on surprisingly non-greasy. However it does cast a slight white tint because it’s a 100% physical block, but that also means it won’t cause any irritation. I’ll probably use the stick more in a physical activity setting since it’s so easy to put it on, just a few swipes on the face and you are ready to go. I even put it on my eyelids and it does not sting my eyes (a huge pet peeve of mine for a lot of sunscreens out there).
There are also wipes and sprays from this collection. It’s really an affordable line. Go ahead and check it out. Never get a sunburn.
