Bridal shoes
Perfect bridal shoes. I’d wear them even if I wasn’t getting married. Some of these more casual sandals are great for tropical weddings. And I also love the idea of ballet flats for a wedding too. They just add an air of delicate-ness.

It’s summer and I just want to wear white dresses all the time. It’s kind of an urge for me every year. Maybe after a long winter wearing dark colors you just want to feel light and bright. And in all kinds of shades of white.

My blog has been HACKED!
This morning when I tried to load my blog on FireFox, Google almost gave me quite a heart attack! Did you guys see this too? I couldn’t believe my eyes!
WTF??

My blog, malicious? NO WAY!! What’s wrong with you, Google?? My little blog is innocent. My only conclusion is that my blog has been hacked! It seems that only FireFox will display this warning. Internet Explorer is fine. So if you see this warning on FireFox, please switch over to IE. I can assure you my blog is NOT trying to pass some virus to you! Fellow bloggers, has this happened to yoU? While I’m trying to sort this out, please use IE (I know IE sucks) in the meantime to continue to visit my blog. Thanks a million darlings!

Goodies on Gilt

For somebody who cannot wear high heels anymore, these gorgeous Alejandro Ingelmo platform heels are killing me! I like that the studs are subtle but still make the shoe edgy.

Love these Furla bags, simplistic and stlylish.

Milly dresses are always so sweet looking.

I love Trina Turk’s bold prints. I’ll be keeping an eye out for her swimsuits. Hopefully Gilt will have a sale!

Olympics Excitement
I was sick pretty much the whole weekend, and my mom just came back from her 3-month vacation in China, so all of us curled up in front of TV to watch the Olympics and cheer for our athletes. The opening ceremony was just breathtaking. The colours were gorgeous (I totally want that silk dress with the ribbons on the dancer below, and the traditional outfits of various ethnic groups of China, so pretty!) and the precision of the movements of the thousands of dancers was just unbelievable. Here are some photos if you missed it

Who wants invites?
Online sample sales are a hot thing these days. You can find incredible deals on luxury brands up to 70% off. However, they are invite-only. I got invited to two big sample sale sites, Rue La La and Gilt Groupe (thanks eye4style!). How would you like a pair of Earnest Sewn jeans for $72 originally $180? That’s what I just bought. Hurrah! And at the last Michael Kors sale, I could’ve snatched up a pair of gorgeous wedge sandals for about $100, originally over $400. But I was just too slow, all the size 7s disappeared within the first 5 minutes. That’s the thing, almost everything was sold out in the first 30 minutes of the sale. You literally have to log on as soon as the sale begins and cyber-elbow other girls out of your way. Anyway, darlings, do you want in? It’s free to join. I’ll just have to send you an invite via email. If you are interested, just leave your email in the comment. Your email address is kept private and only viewable by me
Your weekday wardrobe vs. weekend wardrobe
So my lunchtime mall buddy at work was telling me she did some mad shopping last weekend and got a ton of new dresses and tops. I was really excited to hear what she bought and I said “wear one of your new dresses tomorrow!” She said it would be too much for work and she would save a lot of that stuff for the weekends. To which I can relate. So do you dress differently during the week and on the weekend? I mean of course everybody dresses differently to some extent, but do you do a complete 180 on the weekend? Does your weekend wardrobe reflect a different side of your personality? Do you dress way up or way down? If you run into a co-worker, you think they’d be like “Wow, you look great! so different!” For me, I like to get either dressier or crazier just ’cause our work environment is so casual and laid-back (where pencil skirts and silk blouses are a big overkill, which is too bad, I love that sexy secretary look). I’ll pull out stuff that is not “work-appropriate”, like my short shorts paired with knee-high socks, and a lot of my cutesy dresses, most of which probably make me look like I still live with my parents, teehee. And sometimes I even put my hair up in pigtails or braids, which I would never do on a workday.
So how about you? Do you unleash your inner creative fashion child on weekends? Please share
Thank you!
One of you so kindly nominated my little blog for the Trendora Lifestyle Award 2008. Thank you darling, let me know what you are
It was such a pleasant surprise. Trendora Lifestyle Award, in their words, “is our way of recognizing the top 100 Fashion/Lifestyle sites and blogs on the web. It’s our way of thanking you for an exceptional contribution to a world more stylish, glamorous and chic.” Sounds excellent. I, for one, am looking forward to reading the winning sites and blogs. But most importantly, thank you my fashionista friends for reading mine
Christmas Gifts
I had a pretty good haul this Christmas
. Here are some of the gifts that are fashion and beauty related that I received. I loved them all, especially the Emilio Cavallini Two Tone Tights, the Deep Sapphire Sterling Silver Bracelet with Diamond Accents, and accessories and handbag from H&M and Mango. I guess somebody was paying attention to this blog
I also got a ton of chocolate that’s going to last me for a long time, a movie gift card which is great ’cause we go to the movies all the time, a gift card for HomeSense that I’ll put to use once we get our house. Oh I also got a new Toshiba laptop! Which I broke the second day because it had Windows Vista (it is the devil. If you are thinking about upgrading from XP to Vista, DON’T DO IT!), I was so fed up with it I decided to wipe it and put XP on it, and that broke the computer.
So what did everybody get??
