“Wicked” Wendy
We had a Halloween-themed birthday party for my 2-year-old son on Saturday. He was the cutest dragon ever. I dressed up as Wendy from Peter Pan, the wicked version. Except I didn’t want to put on scary makeup as not to scare all the little kids at the party. But everybody loved my blue dress.
Hope everybody had a fantastic Halloween weekend!!

After gushing about Schutz shoes, my new pair finally came in. I wish I had gotten them earlier when the weather was still warmer. But regardless, I absolutely LOVE these laceup suede sandals. They are this very rich brown shade with congac leather pipings (even though they look more like black in these pics). Normally I don’t wear something this high to work, but I couldn’t resist the other day and even my guy co-workers said they looked cool, lol. And this is a t-shirt and jeans crowd.
Slightly cooler
Looks like the extremely hot summer days are going. It has started to feel slightly cooler since last week. I’m adding a few layers now. I’m layering this polka dot dress with the puffy skirt from ebay underneath the blue silk blouse that I got from Ricky. The sandals were an incredibly lucky strike from gojane.com. Super inexpensive and super comfy.
Summery
So many people at work said to me ” you look so summery” today. I said “that’s the idea!”
. This summer has been absolutely beautiful despite the heat wave this week. I don’t complain about the hot weather ’cause come February I’ll be wishing we had this weather back! I was looking for a new black and white stripe shirt, then I saw this green stripe tee at Suzy and I immediately scrapped the idea of a boring ol’ black and white stripe tee and got this one. Pairing it with my BR skinny cropped pants.
New Schutz platform peep toe boots
I gushed about Schutz shoes on gilt. And I’m so happy I got these platform peep toe boots! They are so versatile. I can pretty much them all year round.
Pairing them with a typical summer work outfit, a silk top from Suzy and my Theory shorts.

Striped skirt

I try to post more outfits…I guess a lot of them will be work outfits, which can be pretty boring sometimes. This is a very simple work outfit (sorry about the smudges on the mirror! My toddler always wants me to pick him up in front the mirror and likes to put his dirty hands on it. I’ll have to remember to clean the mirror next time when I take pictures). The top with the floral appliques was from Banana Republic, it’s pretty basic. I really love this striped skirt that I recently got from H&M. I wanted to get a black and white striped skirt forever, but most of the ones I came across were too short for work. This one is the perfect length. The ruching throughout helps give me some curves.
All favorites

Even though it’s Monday, it was a pretty mellow day at the office. The pieces that I have on are all my favorites. I’ve been wearing the silk lace cardigan a lot lately. It makes any outfit softer and prettier.
Relaxing weekend

I’m dressed very comfortably today ’cause I feel very relaxed. I love this long tee, it’s tissue thin and hangs perfectly. It’s not often a weekend is not filled with a ton of activities. I’m taking full advantage of it by having a mani and pedi with some girlfriends.
Daily grind

Another work outfit today. This silk blouse in a taro-ish color (a very very light lavender shade) is from a Korean label that I got on ebay. I seem to buy a lot of cute clothes from Korean brands. They seem to have a knack for very ladylike clothes. I thought the pleated puffy sleeves were cute and made my arms look skinny. The leopard skirt is one of my favorites ’cause it’s got interesting details like the gathers at the waist, not just any boring stiff pencil skirt.
Slow weekdays

Weekends are so busy these days (aren’t they always in the summer?). They go by super fast and now it’s the dreaded Monday again. Here is a work outfit that I snapped a pic of very quickly in the morning. The top is fairly new from Suzy. The small soft mini ruffles on the bottom half was what drew me to it. The skirt is an asymmetrical linen skirt (has ruffles too) from Le Chateau which I’ve had forever. It’s always a good work skirt during the summer.
Grey chiffon dress
Got this light grey dress on ebay. It has two layers with pleats on the outer layer. I used the tie ribbon that it came with. Next time I think I’ll use a more embellished belt. Went to the Multicultural Festival today. The weather turned bad while we were, it was raining and quite cold. I sure was glad I didn’t go bear legged. But it was still fun. I let my 1.5 year old son eat cake and fries and ice cream for lunch, which made him very happy.

The temperature’s taking a dip this week we are all so disappointed. Despite being cold, I still want to dress like it’s summer. Wearing this splatter paint print tunic with lacy overlay on the shoulders from UO. And it’s got cute little bows on the shoulders.
Sunny day

It’s such a beautiful day after a week of nonstop rain. And it’s not freezing cold. We will take advantage and get outside.
Back to the cold

We suddenly got a blizzard last night that was not in the forecast. So today I’m back in warm cozy winter gear. And also today’s a busy day with errand running and family visiting, so I’m in a cozy army green sweat shirt, my fave tweed skirt, faux jean leggings, and Sperry boots. You probably noticed that I don’t wear a lot of sweat shirts, but this one with studded heart I found really cute…albeit a little juvenile, but I like it anyway.
Spring inspired outfit

A quick outfit post as I’m heading out the door to a friend’s birthday party. I dug out this semi-old silk dress that I got early last year on eBay. I never got around to wearing it until now. I’m pretty Alice+Olivia had a similar dress like this with pleatings throughout the body and rosette accents at the neckline. I felt like wearing something light and vibrant-colored so I put on this dress.
