New blazer and faux fur coat

Very simple outfit today. Wearing one of my jersey dresses I got on eBay. I found this white Cinole Boutique blazer (Canadian label) at a consignment store. It’s light weight and drapes nicely (yes blazers can drape too).   I wasn’t too thrilled about the shoulder pads initially and  I can’t exactly take them out because they are sewn inside the lining.  But now they don’t bother me so much.  I’m thinking of changing the buttons to make it more funky.  I also picked up this cute little no-name clutch there. These days when I don’t have to lug around a big diaper bag, I like to go with a small shoulder bag.

And you guys have heard me wanting a faux fur coat or vest badly for the fall.  Well….I found a vintage faux fur coat on eBay!  And it’s a white one which was what I wanted the most.   I was a little worried that since it’s white, it might have discolorations or stains.  But it turned out to be in excellent shape.   I love it.

Layers without layering

Another super busy day that calls for easy dressing. I’m wearing this black and white striped dress that I bought on Yesstyle a while ago. Can’t seem to find it on the site anymore (they do update frequently). I love that the dress looks like a striped top and a skirt combo.   The big open sleeves on the top are comfortable and freeing.  And it is nicely layered so I don’t have to wear another tank underneath.  And the skirt part also has a pretty lace overlay.  Keeping the accessories simple with a pearl necklace and bracelet.  And yes I’m carrying a Hello Kitty tote .  It’s just a great diaper bag.

Wingtips

My Steven Wingtips are here. I LOVE them. I’ve been wearing them on long walks and they are very comfy. These are not available on shopbop anymore, but they still have other versions on sale, like the Melin Pinked Perforated Oxfords which I also like.

Sometimes a tee is all you need

Super comfy and easy outfit today. My guy calls this Siren top MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) inspired tee because the graphics resemble those of his MMA t-shirts from afar. I really like the shape of it. You can’t see it because I tucked it in, but it tapers down at the hips and I can pull it down and wear it as a tunic. And I can also pull it up and let it hang loose. Gotta love a versatile tee.

Crochet sun dress

After cleaning my closet a bit, I found this yellow sun dress that I never wore before.   I can’t believe I totally forgot about it.  Another dress that I must’ve bought when I still had all my pregnancy weight.  Love the crochet top and the bow.  It’s very light and breathe-able, perfect for the hot weather we’ve been having during the day.  And I throw on a light weight jacket over it for night.

Boho tunic

Another super simple outfit today.  I got this boho tunic for like $20 or something from Suzy. Not usually my style, but I like how it feels so light and flowy. My guy says the coral color looks good on my skin tone, too .  It’s a great top to throw on for running errands on Friday.

Love Pucca

I love Pucca. I have Pucca wallets, a Pucca alarm clock, Pucca toys, etc. My guy got me this Pucca tee for shits and giggles last Christmas. I’ve also rediscovered this little Bolero bag which my dad got me when he went to Italy on a business trip over 10 years ago. It’s still stylish now.  The leather’s super soft.   It’s got an outer pouch and an inner pouch, the perfect little bag to use when I’m on errands.  I also use it to hold my passport and credit cards when I travel. Very handy.

Pure and simple

I’m taking my baby to get his passport picture taken today. We are going to Spain this October and I gotta get him a baby passport. I wonder how his picture will turn out. He’s hilarious when we take his pictures. I’m just wearing something very simple today, a Theory silk top and YMI skinny jeans. And I just bought these Steve Madden studded platform sandals on sale. They are surprisingly comfortable. I’ll be wearing these a lot for the rest of the summer which here in Ontario will come to an end soon (sniff sniff).

Flouncy

Went to a wedding this weekend. I was wearing this Bebe dress that I picked up earlier this summer. I’d been waiting for an occasion to wear it. Love the ruffles from the shoulder all the way down. I originally didn’t want to belt this dress because it kinda breaks up the flow of the ruffles. But the waist is a little loose for my taste so I ended up belting it.

Folding and draping

Went out last night to celebrate a girlfriend’s engagement. Got a chance to dress up a bit. I’m wearing a new dress I acquired on eBay recently. Really liked the draping and the folds in the front and at the sides. I also had a Falls cardi on later on the night ’cause it got chilly.

Polka dotty

Going to meet up with a friend today to do some shopping for her hubby’s birthday. I got this strapless polka dotty dress on the sale rack at Costa Blanca. Love it except the front is a little loose, so I paired it with a top, which gives it a bit of a bohemian look.

Going to work today

Hehe…not really. I’m just bringing my baby to my office for a visit. He’s quite the life of party every time he goes with me. I got this black and white print dress on eBay recently. It’s super easy and comfy to wear. And I’ve been toting my new Juicy bag nonstop.

Just another day at the mall

A friend and I decided to take our kids for a stroll in the mall the other day. I’m glad we did ’cause we both scored some great stuff from H&M’s sale racks. I got this cream tweed-like jacket with the cropped sleeves and zippers on the sides. I like that it’s really light-weight so I can wear it on chilly summer nights. I can see this jacket being put to good use many times in the future. I also got this little fringe bag. I was a little apprehensive about the fringe trend in the beginning, so I would never spend a lot of money on anything fringe, but for $10 I betcha I’d get the little fringe bag .

Feel like a lady

Having lunch with some mommy friends today. It’s such a beautiful sunny day, I just felt like wearing something super light. I got this white chiffon dress on ebay last year.  If it’s got ruffles and lacy trims, then I’m sold!   And I added this flower appliqué belt that belonged to another dress to give it a little bit more shape.

Sans kids

Tonight we are having a couple’s night with friends who also have a 5 months old baby and we are leaving the kids with the grandparents. I’m so glad to be able to fit into this f21 poufy satin polka dot skirt with the tulle trim. I got it on Boxing Day last year (at that time I was still carrying 25lb extra baby weight). Only size XS was left but I figured I’d fit into eventually. Love the volume.
